What Invisalign Does
Invisalign treatment uses a series of custom-made aligners that are digitally designed by your dentist to straighten teeth.
Invisalign clear aligners are custom made to fit over your teeth and encourage just the right amount of force to gradually move your teeth into alignment over time.
The advantages to choosing aligners over braces is that they’re clear and removable, so they can be taken out for cleaning and eating.
What Are the Benefits of Invisalign Treatment?
Teeth straightening with Invisalign clear aligners can have a number of advantages over metal braces:
Less noticeable in your mouth, so no one will know you’re having treatment
Can be removed when you need to eat or brush and floss your teeth
Feel more comfortable and cause less irritation in your mouth
Don’t require making changes to your diet or lifestyle
While this can make Invisalign preferable for many people, treatment isn’t for everyone. Invisalign cost can sometimes be higher than the cost for braces and effective treatment relies on patient compliance – that means wearing them as much as possible.
Am I Eligible for Invisalign Treatment?
Our dentists need to complete an orthodontic assessment before we can tell if you’re a candidate for Invisalign at Kelmscott Dental. Generally, less severe teeth alignment issues such as overbite, open bite and crowded or gapped teeth can be treated with Invisalign clear aligners. If you have more complex orthodontic needs, we may recommend another option such as modern braces. Contact us to book your consultation and learn whether you are eligible for Invisalign or other teeth straightening treatments.
Invisalign GO from $5,000
We offer two types of Invisalign at Kelmscott Dental – Invisalign and Invisalign GO. The main difference is that Invisalign GO is a faster treatment that uses fewer sets of aligners. It may be possible to straighten your smile in as little as 3 to 6 months, depending on the amount of straightening needed.
We may recommend Invisalign GO if you only need relatively minor teeth correction. This treatment option uses a maximum of 20 aligners where as full Invisalign may involve 30 aligners or more and can take 12 months or longer to achieve results.

The Invisalign Process
Invisalign treatment at Kelmscott Dental is provided by our certified Invisalign providers. We’ll make sure you understand what treatment involves and your payment options, so you can decide whether it’s right for you or your child.
- The first stage of treatment is designing your new smile. We take 3D digital images of your mouth and jaw and use computer software to plan the ideal movement for your teeth. This is where you get to see what your new smile could look like!
- Then we send impressions to our dental lab where your custom aligners are crafted.
- Then, you come in for your fit appointment where we provide you with advice on how to clean your teeth and care for your aligners
You’ll receive a new set of aligners every 2 weeks, with each new set gradually moving your teeth into position. We check your progress every 6 to 8 weeks to make sure treatment is on track.

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between Invisalign and Invisalign GO?
We offer two options for Invisalign at Kelmscott Dental: full Invisalign and Invisalign GO.
Invisalign GO works faster than standard Invisalign and uses no more than 20 aligners to straighten teeth, which can be cheaper and more convenient. However, it is only suitable for relatively minor cases.
If you need more straightening than can be achieved with Invisalign GO, our dentists may recommend standard Invisalign or alternatives such as fixed braces.
Can anyone get Invisalign?
Invisalign treatment can be effective for treating minor to moderate orthodontic problems. Wearing removable aligners requires more commitment than fixed braces, as they must be worn for at least 22 hours a day to achieve the best results.
If you are not a candidate for Invisalign clear aligners, our dentists in Kelmscott can discuss other teeth straightening options such as tooth-coloured or metal braces.
How much does Invisalign cost?
The cost of Invisalign treatment depends on the Invisalign option you choose and how many aligners you need. Invisalign GO at Kelmscott Dental starts from $5,000 and full Invisalign ranges from $6500 to $8000 on average, but this varies from case to case.
We can give you an accurate Invisalign price after we’ve examined your teeth and created your personal treatment plan. We offer a choice of payment plans if you need help managing your dental costs.
How long does Invisalign take?
It can take between 4 and 24 months to straighten teeth with Invisalign. This varies from case to case and depends on the type of Invisalign system used and whether you wear your aligners as often as recommended.
We can give you an estimate of your treatment timeline after we examine your teeth and plan your treatment. You will normally have to wear a retainer after the completion of your Invisalign treatment to help maintain your new, straighter smile.
Why should I see a dentist for Invisalign when I can buy aligners online?
Teeth straightening with Invisalign aligners is more reliable and has a higher chance of success when treatment begins with a face-to-face examination and continues to be supervised by a qualified dentist or orthodontist throughout the treatment duration. Face-to-face examinations allow your dentist to pick up on any oral health concerns that may not have otherwise been identified, prior to starting treatment.
Moving teeth when a patient has untreated tooth decay, gum disease or another dental issue may cause irreversible damage to teeth and gums. Another reason for seeing a dentist for clear aligner treatment is because they can monitor your progress, adjust trays when needed and address any concerns you have.
